ALL Science AL!VE summer camps have new activities each summer. These camps use innovative and interactive hands-on activities, curricula and approaches aimed at exposing and inspiring youth in the areas of science, engineering and technology. MINI SCIENTISTS (GRADES K-1)

This brand new camp will introduce our youngest campers to the exciting world of science. Our Mini Dino campers will not only learn all about dinosaurs, they will discover the fascinating world behind paleontology and archeology. Mini Space explorers will focus on the wonders of the solar system and beyond, exploring planets, stars, comets, and black holes. 

QUARK CAMP (GRADES 2-3)

Using hands on activities our Quark Oceans campers will have the opportunity to explore everything under the sea, including the wonderful world of cetaceans, sharks, and deep-sea creatures. Our CURIEous chemists will learn all about chemical reactions and the wonderful world of atoms and molecules in our Quark Chemistry camp.

ELECTRON CAMP (GRADES 4-5)

Electron campers participate in a variety of activities building on prior knowledge and skills. Whether they are building and manoeuvring robots using our Lego Mindstorms EV3 sets in our Lego camp or exploring everything that goes BOOM in our Explosions camp, our Electrons are always developing new knowledge and abilities.

ION CAMP (GRADES 6-7)

Ion camp focuses on challenging and encouraging youth to draw connections between the sciences and the world around them. In the Ion Lego camp, campers will focus on programming using the Lego Mindstorms NXT sets. Our Energy campers will learn about all aspects of energy including the exciting world of electricity.

TECH CAMP (GRADES 4-7)

Don’t miss out on your chance to register for our amazingly popular Tech Camp! Tech campers will explore technology through research lab tours and high-tech challenges. Tech Codemakers will explore programming diving deep into the world of computer code. The Tech Engineering campers will look at the technology side of engineering.

AL!VE GIRLS (GRADES 2-7)

AL!VE Girls is a unique learning environment where lessons are taught by enthusiastic female scientists. Our Eco club is designed specifically for any budding environmental scientists and will focus on renewable resources and climate change. Our Innovators club introduces AL!VE girls to the wonderful world of programming and engineering. These camps are designed to boost female participation in science and engineering in an inclusive all-girl environment.

FAS TECH CAMP (GRADES 8-9)

An exciting new camp hosted by the Faculty of Applied Sciences! Computing Science and Engineering professors will introduce you to robotics and artificial intelligence. Participants will build robots who will square off in the Battle of the Bots and race through the Great Maze! Your friends and parents are invited to watch the competition and join us for pizza on the final day.
